Trip to Petsmart

Today June & I took a field trip to Petsmart just to get out & do something fun. June flipped! She loved all of the animals! We got to see cats, dogs, fish, rodents, & birds. We even got to walk one of the dogs around the store!

If you click on this pic & make it bigger you may notice a similarity between June's hair & the guinea pig's: They both have strawberry blonde hair with crazy cowlicks! Oh, & the guinea pig has blue eyes, too. It just made me laugh!




She also had fun playing with a scratching post/kitty gym & playing peek-a-boo in the shopping cart!

June's Birthday Bash!

We celebrated June's 1st Birthday this weekend by having Aaron's family up for a party! We had a lot of fun, &, more importantly, I think June had a lot of fun! First off we let June open her presents. Here is June with her present from Aaron & I. She really liked it even though both feet can't quite reach the ground yet! She does well w/ one foot reaching, though!


Here I am trying to keep her from eating the paper from the awesome gift of diapers & wipes from her Aunt Amanda & Uncle Rob!

Here she is with her Grandma Strong opening the WONDERFUL gift that she made for her! It is the coziest & cutest blanket ever! & June kept snuggling with it as soon as she opened it!





After presents we sang "Happy Birthday" to June & Aaron & I blew out her candle. Then we gave June her very own cupcake to do whatever she pleased with. Here is what she chose to do with her cupcake (she was surprisingly serious about it):

Our big ONE YEAR OLD!!!!

Today June is ONE!!! We are celebrating her Birthday & having a party this weekend with Aaron's family. But, since today is her actual birthday we wanted to make it special, so we took her to Red Robin for a birthday lunch. She loved it there! There were balloons, bright colors, & people (including a ton of kids) everywhere. After we finished eating a group of Red Robin workers sang a birthday song to her & gave her some MORE balloons & an ice cream treat!! Sadly, I forgot our camera, so I don't have any pictures of our outing. But I snapped a couple of pics of her & her balloons when we got home!

Birthday package from Grandma & Grandpa Balholm!

YEA!! June's first birthday is this coming Tuesday, & since her Grandma & Grandpa Balholm cannot be here for the festivities they sent june a birthday package! She got a cute Winnie the Pooh card, a variety of Winnie the Pooh doorknob signs with cute sayings on them, & a VERY fun Winnie the Pooh honey pot that has different shapes to put in (& the Winnie the pooh characters talk when you put the shapes in)!!!! She had a blast with everything & we've been working on matching the shapes with the right shaped hole! I think she had just as much fun with the curly pink ribbon that was on the wrapped presents (she would hardly let go of it for an hour)! We didn't get any pictures of her unwrapping her girts (that's all on video), but here are some pics of her checking out her honey pot-Oh, & notice the pink ribbon in EVERY pic!!

New car!

YAY! We finally bought a second car! We were going to wait until right before we have the next baby, but this was a REALLY good deal! Here are my top 5 reasons why getting this car has already been wonderful:

5. No more having to drive Aaron to & from work if I want the car.

4. Driving a big car makes me feel safer on the road!

3. 4 wheel drive.

2. The space! We can seat 8, & still have plenty of room for cargo!

1. The price.

The downside is that it's a V8, & doesn't get the best milage, but, when we weigh all of the pros & cons it's totally worth it, & we LOVE our new car!!!

Ice cream for dinner

I have still ben experiencing nausea from being pregnant, & Aaron had the stomach flu (or was just having sympathy nausea for me), and the only thing either of us could keep down a couple of nights ago was ice cream! Luckily June didn't realize what she had for dinner was not the same as ours! We felt a little guilty for having ice cream for dinner, but not TOO guilty...
