Weekend in Bend

The weekend after Valentines Day Aaron had a two day seminar (only 4 hours each day) in Bend, OR for CE. My parents graciously offered to watch the kids for us so that Aaron & I could spend the weekend together in Bend! Mt. Bachelor is 20 min from Bend so we took the opportunity to go snowboarding on the mountain. I had never been snowboarding (or skiing) before, & Aaron grew up skiing, but had only been snowboarding a handful of times. It was SO FUN!! On my first run I crashed just about every 10 feet. The second run went much better (only two falls), & it just kept getting better & better. Aaron (showoff) did very well:) Also while in Bend they were having a festival called Winterfest. There was live music & they had a huge snow-packed ramp set up & skiers & snowboarders were doing tricks & competing. It was just so much fun spending uninterrupted time with Aaron (except for his CE). We got to go out to many good restaurants, went shopping (& got June & Logan each a new toy),  & saw the new True Grit (great movie!). It was a wonderful time. However, we were very excited to see June & Logan when we got back to my parents :) THANK YOU MOM, DAD & ALLTHE FAMILY WHO HELPED TAKE CARE OF JUNIE & LOGAN!!

The kids had a great time with my family while we were gone. And, Aaron & I got to enjoy a day & a half with them when we got back from Bend. We took the kids to the Children's museum in Portland along with their Aunt Darcy (my sister), two of her kids, & two more cousins!!

We can't wait to visit you all again!!

Valentines Day Festivities

The day started with a trail of hearts...

...Which the kids enjoyed collecting.

Then Junie helped me make heart shaped pancakes <3

Then we had some friends over to make some Valentines candy & treats!

Oh, the apron is Aaron's gift to me---No, he is not chauvinistic. I asked him to pick out a cute apron for me :)

When the boys are a little older they can join us in the treat-making, but for now they have fun playing!

Later that night Aaron & I went out for Thai Food (I finally found a REALLY good restaurant), but our real Valentines date was the following weekend...I'll post about it later...It was a blast!!
