Thanksgiving 2009!

We decided not to travel anywhere for Thanksgiving as things have been crazy around here & are about to get crazier when we move. So, we had a nice relaxing Thanksgiving at home. Aaron & I prepared a turkey for the first time ever, & we were VERY surprised that it actually turned out! We spent the day enjoying eachothers company while we watched the Macy's parade, some football (kind of), & June's new favorite: The Grinch!
Just a quick update on our move: We decided not to buy the house! We had some misgivings about the area that the house was in, & thought it would be better to rent for a while, get to know the area, & then buy. We have not found a place to rent that we like yet, but are pretty confident that we wont be homeless for the Hollidays! HAHA!

Insane week: Lots of highs & lows

I just figured out how to do a photo collage! So, here is a collage of what went on this past week.

* One day Aaron didn't had some time between patients & surprised us during breakfast! He brought flowers & treats, & got to spend a couple of hours with us!

* I am going to start calling June Massive Headwound Harry (SNL). She split open her forehead for the second tine in about a month & a half. We took her to the ER & she had to get 3 stitches :( I felt so bad for her, but she did great.

*Logan started eating rice cereal this week. Man, that guy loves eating!

*I tried opening a box with a pen, broke the pen & had ink splattered all over my face...

*June smeared black beans all over her head.

New House!

As I mentioned previously we thought we found the house we wanted to buy out in the tri-cities. Well, we did some more looking online after we returned from our trip out there & found a couple of other homes that we felt were worth looking at. However we didn't want to drag the kids on another whirlwind trip. So, we sent Aaron out to look at the homes while I stayed home with the kids (It worked WAY better that way, but I was just a tad jealous that he got to go look at all of homes...).

The trip turned out to be a success! We did indeed find a home that we like much better than the one we were planning on purchasing. We made an offer on the house & the sellers took it! YAY! I know, It's CRAZY that we are buying a home that I have never seen! But, I trust Aaron & he knows what I like & do not like in a home. Since I didn't get to be there in person Aaron took 3 videos of the house for me. I thought I'd share them on the blog!

Here is the outside of the house & yard:

This is the kitchen/ living areas on the main level:

And, here is the upstairs:

Aaron was busy &, understandably, forgot to get a video of the guest bedroom & bathroom that is in the 3rd car garage (it was built when the home was and is up to code and everything). So, I will be totally surprised when I finally get to see that room! We will have some painting to do Aaron's not crazy about a purple master bedroom! Hehe!) but there's not a ton to do, which is really nice!

We're really excited & plan to close on the house on November 13th. We are trying not to get too excited though, because it seems like every time we have bought or sold a house something has gone wrong. But, we are crossing our fingers that everything will go smoothly, & that the sellers don't back out or anything (that has happened to us before)!

No matter what happens with this house (and we do anticipate it going well), we will be moving out there December 20th!! WOO HOO! Merry Christmas!

The Tri-cities

Last weekend we flew out to the Tri-cities area to check it out. We really liked it there, & even found the neighborhood we want to live in & possibly the house!

The trip was crazy & fun! Here's some of what went on:

*We flew with two kids

Thank goodness for double strollers!

I took care of Logan on the flights, &...

Aaron very patiently took care of June!

*Some of my family came out to see us
(since the Tri-cities is only 3.5 hours away from where they live)!!!
I had so much fun with them that I forgot to take pictures!
Marco Polo in the pool was SO fun!
I cant wait to see them more once we move!

*June learned how to climb out of the crib that the hotel provided
& would not fall asleep in a bed!! Which made for some very LATE nights & EARLY mornings. On top of that one of the times she got up she ran straight into a really sharp corner of a dresser & got a deep puncture wound on her head :(

*We looked at a lot of houses
&, as I mentioned, we think we found "the one!"

*We got to listen to at least one session of General Conferance
& the guys got to go to The Preisthood Session.

Overall, is was a very successful trip, & it was so great to see my family!! We are very excited to be moving out there in a couple of months!

Logan
These are some pictures I took of Logan the other day. I can't stand it! He looks too grown-up already! I want him to stay a little baby ALWAYS!

June's Triumph
The other day I took June to the indoor play area at the mall, & she climbed on top of the play log by herself for the first time ever! Luckily, I had my camera & was able to get some progressive pictures!

Almost there....

She's up, & now...

VICTORY!

Busy!

There's been a lot going on here lately! Here's a quick update:

Our house is on the market!
Yes, we are leaving Idaho Falls for sure. We're negotiating with Willamette (where Aaron works) about his new contract right now. If it is a good deal, we will continue to work for them in the Tri-cities area in WA. But, we are also exploring other job options in case the new contract with Willamette isn't to our liking.

The kids are doing great!
June loves her brother, & often shares her favorite toys & blankets with him! When I took these pictures she kept piling her puzzle pieces next to, & on him. She's such a good sister. We are potty training her, & she is doing pretty well. Usually she only tells me she needs to go potty when she wants fruit snacks (her reward)! I plan on it taking a while, & that's ok!

Logan is consistently sleeping through the night! YAY! He sleeps from 7:30 pm-6:30 am. It's so nice! I think he is sleeping so well because he is growing so fast. He is a BIG guy! at his 2 month appointment he was in the 90th percentile for weight & 60th for height! He is a really happy baby & smiles a lot. He does well with tummy time & has been rolling quite a bit, too.

The transition from one kid to two has been getting much easier. We love our little buddies!

Hanging out with Rob, Amanda, & Mason is so much fun!
We've gotten to hang out with the other Stevens a bit lately. We've had a great time playing Hearts (I'm still not happy about that last game...), watching The Office, going to garage sales, going to the zoo, playing with the babies & June, shopping, playing video games, & just hanging out!

We will keep updating as we find out what's going on with Aaron's job & moving!

Sleep!

I just had to post this because I'm so excited! For the past two nights Logan has slept from 10:30 pm until 6:30 am!!! 8 hours! That's a full nights sleep. I forgot how good that feels. I am just hoping he keeps it up. Something else I realized is how much cuter he is when I've had a good nights sleep (I remember thinking the same when June started sleeping well, too)!

My Parent's Visit!!

My parents got to come out for a visit to meet their new grandson, catch up with June, & hang out with Aaron & I. It was SOOOOOOO much fun having them here, & June still keeps asking for her Gramma & Papa! Here are some of the fun things we did:

YAY, they're here & the Zoo:
It was so much fun looking through all of the clothes that my GREAT sisters sent for June & Logan!

The park:
One evening we all went to the park to run & play. One of the best parts was watching my Mom & Dad play teather ball! June had a blast trying out everything, but she especially loved playing with the wood chips...I will post a video of that later!

Bear World:
On Aaron's day off we went up to Bear world to see all of the animals! We got to see some BIG bears close up, & one even brushed up next to our car while we were driving through! The petting zoo, I think, was the most fun. June was pretty much running the entire time, chasing the animals (I will also post a video of this later)! We took June on some small kids rides for the first time ever while we were there. She liked the car ride, she did ok on the roller coaster, & freaked out on a spinning ride. Overall, it was a very fun day!

Logan's Blessing:
We blessed Logan on my parents last day out here. Aaron's family came up for it, too! It was really nice, & a lot of fun visiting with everyone! The Stevens & Strong families are always so much fun!
A group picture.

I loved seeing my parents, & hope to be able to see them more often if/when we move to WA! I will do a post on that later, as well!
