29 week pregnancy update

I thought it was about time I did a pregnancy update. I am in my third trimester (29 weeks today) & all is well! I am feeling MUCH, MUCH better which is great, & I am also getting MUCH, MUCH bigger! I don't mind the growing mid-section too much as long as I've got a pillow to sleep with & clothes that fit well! It does bring some challenges, though. Like June trying to push my stomach back in (yes, she definitely notices the growing belly), me not being able to get up from sitting very well on my own (luckily, I've got Aaron who is wonderful enough to help me with that), and needing to eat TUMS every night to fight off the acid reflux! But, it's really not bad at all.

I have had a lot stronger cravings this pregnancy than with my last one. I make us TACOS (with soft corn tortillas) a couple of times a week because I can't get enough of them! Luckily Aaron likes Mexican food & June seems to as well. I have also been eating a lot of ICE CREAM with hot fudge & almonds on it...MMMMMMM....I might go make a bowl after I finish this post! Believe it or not I even have a craving that is good for me: ICE WATER. I got myself a pretty pink water bottle that I fill with a lot of ice & water & down it all day long. It's wonderful! That's mostly it for cravings. I get some random ones, too.

I know I still have 11 weeks to go, but I am already counting down the days until we get to meet our little guy! Who we are going to name:

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~Clayton Eric Stevens~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Clayton is Aaron's dad's name & Eric is my dad's name (Clayton is also Aaron's middle name). We'll call him Clay for short. Anyway, I already have the nursery all organized, & decorated (& I already want to redecorate), but all we have to do is wait. And, wait. And WAIT!!!! I am just so excited & it makes me impatient :) I do feel very blessed that things are going so well, though. Little Clay is already a strong active guy, & it is so fun to feel him moving around! Oh, & this last picture is me flexing... Aaron was nice enough to take these preggo pics of me & he told me to flex for one, & well, there you go!

Random nice people in Idaho Falls

One of June's favorite things to do is wave at everyone and say, "hi" while we are out and about. She gets a lot of reactions out of people which she really enjoys. Well, the other day we were at Albertsons doing some grocery shopping, and when we were in the checkout line she became friends with the couple behind us by jabbering like crazy to them, waving, & pointing to the balloons that were near & yelling,"BALLOON!" The couple was so nice that they bought June a pink balloon, & it made her day! I thought it was so nice of those people to do that for her. That is one of the many reasons I LOVE Idaho Falls. The people here are so friendly, & the community is great!

EASTER!

HAPPY EASTER! The Easter Bunny came & left us some goodies in our baskets! Here is our little bunny digging through her basket before breakfast on Easter morning.I didn't get a pic of June in her Easter dress. It was too crazy & rushed before church & after church she had thrashed her hair & was ready for a nap! But, She looked CUTE, & we'll have her wear the dress again & get a pic then!

After church & a nap we had an Easter egg hunt in our front yard w/ some friends who have a little girl June's age (Addison). They both had a good time collecting eggs, & then opening the plastic ones to get treats out of them. We learned not to use real eggs (even hard boiled) for this age. They just kept wanting to squish them! Oh, & they were dyed, so they also liked licking them which turned their mouths colors!

Here are some more pics of us playing outside on our beautiful Easter Sunday!

The ZOO is open!

YAY! Last Saturday the Tautphaus Zoo in Idaho Falls opened! Aaron had to work that day :( & we missed him on our outing! It was a perfect day for a zoo trip. It was almost 60 out w/ clear skies (warm for here...). I think June had a great time. She smiled at all of the animals she saw, & when they made noises she laughed at them! She also got to pet some goats & play in the play area. We will probably spend a good bit of time at the zoo this year!

Fun, fun, fun in WASHINGTON!

Oh my gosh! Where to start?! This was such a fun, busy trip (& I'm sorry for all those who I didn't get a chance to see)! June did great on the trip out, but was definitely ready to get out of the car when we got to my parents house (so were Aaron & I )!! The pic of June below says it all! Our first night there all of my siblings came over, & most of my awesome nieces & nephews were there, too! We ate a yummy dinner that my mom made, & got to visit, play, & laugh (a lot)! June's Aunt Darcy got her a cute outfit w/ leopard print, a pink & brown tutu, & a matching headband. The pics of June in it are wild & hilarious (oh, the big green thing in the pic of me holding June is a Hulk hand)! June also got a present from her Aunt Angie & her Watts cousins. They gave her the softest, cutest stuffed chick! June keeps calling it a ball & cuddles with it! Later that night we watched Twilight, & talked, & talked some more!

The next day we all (Aaron, June, & I, my parents, all my brother's & sisters (except my older bro Nate), and, again, almost all of my nieces & nephews, & our good friend Theresa) went to a fun indoor aquatic park! Here is a pic of some of the group (we are missing Aaron, Angie & her kids, & Theresa):

Here are some more pics of the excitement at the water park!

The following day we were at my Sister Angie's house playing & relaxing. She has a huge playroom w/ a lot of fun toys that June & her cousins went wild in! She also has a ping pong table & a racket-ball court that everyone had a lot of fun with! Later that night Angie, my mom, & I all got pedicures! I'd never gotten one before & now I'm hooked! It felt so great on pregnant feet, & it's really nice to have cute toes! I think I need to make it a regular thing! And, as usual it was fun hanging out w/ my mom & sister (I wish Darcy could have come, too)!!! Here are the pics of the play day!

Here are a couple more random pics. One is of June (w/ cousin Haley helping her) & her cousin Kenady on a see-saw at IKEA. The other pics are of the Fam at Olive Garden (June collected all of the coasters)!

Another SLC trip

We took another trip to SLC for Aaron's Grandpa Matheson's 90th Birthday. Sadly, I don't have any pictures of the party because we were busy visiting with people & making sure June didn't get into trouble (she kept licking & biting into tangerines that were supposed to be a decoration on a coffee table...). It was great seeing more family & meeting some of Aaron's family members that I'd never met!! They are all so nice, & it was so great of Aaron's Mom & Brian to let us stay with them again! One of our days there we were able to meet up with Aaron's Dad, two of Aaron's brothers (Rob & Paul), & Rob's wife Amanda for a fancy lunch at Wendy's. It's always a fun time with that group! Here is a pic. outside of the Wendy's:

While in SLC we spent some time at the Gateway Mall. We had fun walking around, chasing June, eating Thai food, & especially playing in the big fountain! It was such nice weather that day that we let June play in the water a little bit, but most of the time she was on Aaron's shoulders.
