This year's Christmas "Card"

Hello and merry Christmas to all!

What a year! Life is good and we have been blessed far more than we deserve.  All are happy and healthy and progressing well.

Logan: No more diapers! He loves to chase and play with June. He knows the alphabet and numbers and enthusiastically yells them at every opportunity. He is freakishly strong and loves to move (sacrament meeting is oh so fun). He is a happy boy and very obedient when paying attention. We couldn't have asked for better. Logan loves cars, the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, tackling, cars, wrestling, running fast, & CARS!

June: She is reading simple words and doing early math. Most of it is focused on improving her ability to negotiate the numbers of stories and songs at bedtime. She is verbal (almost) to a fault and lots of fun to be around. Hide and seek is her favorite game, and her wiry frame is a considerable asset.  She is in pre-school and loves it. She loves cats princesses, fairies, rainbows, jewels, ballet, & dressing up.

Brittny: Is enjoying the new found freedom of a diaper-free house. She laces up her running shoes each morning to chase bedlamites through the ten hour days. She enjoys photography, decorating (she, alone, is responsible for moving furniture when she decides to rearrange a room..... which is often), and getting out of the house in her Christmas toy.

Aaron: Is busy keeping up with family at home and managing a large dental practice (soon to be two). He gets to travel to Portland frequently for work which means that the family gets to see Brittny's family often. He loves to play with the kids, wrastle Logan, and put June in tickle-jail. Occasionally Brittny gets put in tickle-jail which takes more work but is quite entertaining.

As a family, we moved in August and are very happy with the new place. It has a dedicated guest room  for those who care to visit.

We hope that all are happy end enjoying this wonderful Christmas season. May the blessings of heaven  be with you and yours this upcoming year.

Christmas Countdown: Days 18 &19

Day 18
We have driven through festively decorated neighborhoods loads of times before this, but this was our "official" outing. We found some awesome houses. Driving up to our house after we were done inspired me to do better next year!!

Who's in the Potty?

For the past couple of weeks Logan has been doing the following when we take him potty. This is something I HAD to get a video of.

My attempt at getting a video of the dancing.

Day 16

Day 17
I forgot to take a pic of our calendar, but our activity was going to our church Christmas Party. SOOOO much easier than last year. I love the ages June and Logan are at right now.

Christmas Countdown: Days 9-13 AND Other Fun Stuff

Sooooo, last week was crazy. We missed doing some of our activities & I didn't keep track of the ones we did. Life is a little less insane this week, so I am playing catch up. We will probably be doing multiple activities today!

 Some fun non-contdown pics

~June's Preschool Christmas Concert~

Logan thinks it's hilarious to chase me around
the house with a fake spider.

We saw this on our way to see Santa & had to stop.

Christmas Countdown: Days 4, 5, 6, 7, & 8

Day 4

Day 5

Day 6
We were going to make a paper chain on this day, but Junie made one at school the same day! So, on short notice I came up with redecorating our tree (somehow many of the balls & ornaments were missing. I don't want to point fingers, but the culprits name may rime with Bogan...).

I have since redecorated it again, & added many more lights. I have a hard time balancing wanting a perfect, beautiful, matching tree with a kid friendly (HA!), fun tree with all of our mismatched ornaments that we have collected over the years. I think I will do two trees next year!

Day 7

Before we made our new videos to Santa we watched last years video (Click HERE to see it). June Loved it & tried to re-create it in this year's fist video. She asked for all of the same things (except the Polly Pockets... Those are new).

Day 8
I didn't get any pics, but it was a treat for the ears. We strung 11 large jingle bells onto a pipe cleaner ring for each kid. They loved shaking them & singing Jingle Bells.... all day long.

Hooray! I love doing the advent calendar! We have already have had 3 fun days & have 22 more ahead of us.

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

Thanksgiving

I hosted Thanksgiving at my house this year (which I LOVED). Almost all of my family was there. We missed Haley & the Watts family!! It was pretty busy, so I didn't take many pics. But it was
really nice. The only pics I have are of my parents & the kids playing in the basement the day before.

Vampires, family, & fun, oh my!

My wonderful sister in law, Amanda, her sister Lydia, my mom, my sisters, one of my nieces, two of my nephews & I all went to see Breaking Dawn together. It was so much fun going with so many of my favorite people! I forgot my camera when we actually went to the movie :( But here are some pics of the rest of the weekend.

The after party.
