Pumpkin Carving

I LOVE carving pumpkins! I was so excited to have the kids dig out their own pumpkins this year...But that didn't happen. Both of them were kind of grossed out by the slimy stuff & and didn't want to touch it anymore after a couple of handfuls, & left mom (me) to do it. Logan ended up just playing in the yard, & Junie collected the pumpkin seeds & "planted" them in a groove on our patio. Aaron was in charge of cutting open the pumpkins, keeping Logan out of mischief (a full time job), & clean up. I love him. All in all, I think everyone had fun.

After cleaning them out we brought the pumpkins. The kids watched a Halloween-ish themed Shaun the Sheep (if you have not watched this show you are missing out. It's hilarious), & I worked on cutting out the faces on the pumpkins.

Aaron's & mine: Jack Skellington

Logan's: He chose which type of eyes, nose & mouth he wanted on starfall.com (the pumpkin maker).

June's: She, of course, wanted a cat.

OCTOBER's 12 on the 12th

The latest

On our latest trip to my parents the kids & I got to play outside on a gorgeous fall morning. It's SO beautiful there! Also while there my "little" brother Brian played the guitar for the kids & let them play it too, which they loved! These are all the pics I got before my camera's battery died (& I didn't pack my charger). But it was so so SO good to see my family.

Junie & Aaron killing zombies. She wanted to
wear night vision goggles.

Logan on Tip toes trying to see what was
playing on Aaron's phone.

There is no explanation. HAHAHA! Just wait until you're 16, buddy! Side note: the reason Logan's pants always seem to be missing is because we are potty training & pants just seem to get in the way ;)

Fall Festival

There is a local farm (the Country Mercantile) that puts on a Fall Festival for the whole month of October. We went last year & had a great time & were excited to go again this year!

We {heart} going to Grandma & Papa's

The kids are in heaven whenever we stay at my parents house. They have cousins to play with, a tennis court to run/ ride around on, doting (and super fun) grandparents, forests & streams to explore, campfires, s'mores (or just plain marshmallows), & this time camping out in a tent. June has wanted to sleep in a tent for a while now, so we obliged her on our last trip :)

Logan & Papa:
My dad took Logan 4x4ing out to play on a really BIG felled tree. Logan is absolutely crazy about his grandpa (wonder why....).

Some other fun pics from our last trip.

We love you guys & can't wait to see you again!!

First Days

Some pics of our first day in the new house.

June's first day of pre-school (which she LOVES).
