Birthday Pancakes & a Fire Truck Project

June requested pancakes for her birthday dinner & I gladly made them (I love having breakfast food for dinner)! I made regular pancakes & swedish pancakes & tried a new recipe for caramelized  bananas for a topping/ filling :) June was excited to be the center of attention & loved having us sing "Happy Birthday" to her again!

I have been trying to finish decorating Logan's room. I am happy to say that I am almost there. My most recent project was to paint a triptych of a fire truck. I had been eyeing a cute fire truck triptych at Pottery Barn Kids, but  I could not bring myself to pay $200 for it. So, I decided to try painting one myself. It was a very fun project! It made me forget how much I enjoy drawing & painting! I may start doing it more often :)

Another big change to Logan's room happened 2 days ago. When Logan wakes up up the morning he waits in his crib while I get his sippy ready for him. Well, the other morning while I was doing this I heard a loud thud followed by crying. I ran to Logan's room to find him on the floor rubbing hid head. He was fine. No broken bones & no blood, who knows if we'd be that lucky again! So, that morning I converted his crib into a toddler bed! He has rolled with the change very well. In fact, he was giddy to have a bed that he could get in & out of whenever he wanted (we picked up a lock for his door, though...). We are very proud of our big boy! I am excited to sell the crib & move in the twin bed (I will post pics of his finished room when we do), but we'll give him a few weeks to adjust first:)
